Keyword Search Tips
Here are some tips for getting more accurate search results based on keyword exact-text matching and basic boolean operators.
Exact-text matching
To find an exact word or phrase, use quotation marks. For example:
Search term = "wing landing gear" will return results with this exact phrase in the title or body of the question or discussion.
Multiple keyword matching
To find content with multiple keywords, use the + symbol. For example:
Search term = "wing"+"landing"+"gear" will return results with all three keywords in the title or body of the question or discussion.
Term Exclusion
To exclude a term from your search, use the - symbol. For example:
Search term = "wing"+"landing"-"gear" will return results with both the keywords "wing" and "landing", but does not contain the keyword "gear" in the title or body of the question or discussion.

Filtering Discussions Using Tags
Additionally, discussions are organized by Tags. Tags (a word or phrase) can be added to a discussion or a question to make the content searchable by other users for that specific topic.
When filtering discussion-based search results, you can choose to do so via tags; doing so will filter to only discussions containing your selected tag(s). When filtering with more than one tag, you can apply an AND/OR operator. This is controlled via the Match All Tags checkbox.
- When filtering with multiple tags, the default is searching with an OR operator and will return results containing any of your selected tags.
- Enable the Match All Tags checkbox to use an AND operator, meaning only results containing all of your selected tags will be returned.
When searching discussion posts, you have additional filtering options:
- Search title for keywords
- Search by author
- Search by date last updated
- Search by category
